Mount Ararat Skiing 5 Days

Day1: Pick up you at Van or Agri airport to Dogubayazit, Overnight stay in hotel

Day 2: After breakfast, we will go to Mount Ararat /Cevirme Village at 2200 m by minibus. Our baggage and skis are carried by horses.
Walking up to Camp1 at 2800 m. (2-3 hours). Tea and food will be ready for us.
Night in Camp1 (minimum -10° during the night)

Day 3: We ski up to Camp 2 at 3750 m by carrying our personal equipment.
If porters can’t climb until there we will stop at 3600 m (2-3 hours).
When camp is set up we can keep on skiing.
Night in Camp2 (minimum -15° during the night)

Day 4: Summit day. Before leaving the camp we need to get our duffle bags ready inside the tents. The duffle bags will be directly brought down to camp 1.
We have breakfast in the middle of the night then start the ascent.
After skiing 6 or 8 hours, we finally reach the summit with a breathtaking panoramic view over Turkey, Iran and Armenia. (minimum -30° at the top)
We directly descent down to car point, transfer you dogubayazit city. Overnight sleep in hotel.

Day 5: After breakfast we will transfer you Agri or Van city airport

*Turkish Mountaineering Federation permit price (different from climbing permit)

*Hotel night in Istanbul (but we can help you to book it and provide you a guide for a tour in the city and on the Bosphorus)

*Climbing visa from Turkish consulate

Equipment you need to bring
*Tour ski, DVA (Arva, Bips…), snow shovel and probe
*Walking shoes
*Warm and waterproof gear (different layers)
* One rucksack between 40 to 50 litres
*One duffle bag (60 to 80 litres) that will be carried by horses
*Crampons (if you don’t have we can rent you some)
*Sleeping bags
*Toiletry kit
